The Epilogue
A literary insert from the desk of the founder — Shanika Lachelle.
“Oftentimes, I have deep, unfiltered, culturally specific, and unapologetic thoughts about various issues, topics around the Black American experience as a Black Woman. For a long time, these thoughts would just live in my head or injected conversationally within my village. I decided they needed someplace to live permanently.”

The Well
A moral and communal insert into the literary space by Shanika Lachelle.
A journey that began 8 years ago after a horrendous experience with a well-known esthetician, I realized the importance and relevancy of simplicity and nature-based products. What began as a solution for facial rupturing and imbalance led to a passion of researching every day products that I use at home, on my skin and in my environments.
These writings are Research-backed, personally lived wellness pieces rooted in the desire to bring light to how so many products and materials affect our health and wellness from our nervous system to our hormones. Here I offer insight and suggestions to non-toxic, health conscious alternatives.
