A . B . O . D . E .
…is a cultural home.
The name is an acronym — each letter belonging to a woman in the family who helped her mother raise the founder, Shanika Lachelle. Five women whose grace, fire, faith, and love became the foundation of everything built here. But A.B.O.D.E. is also a word. A place to live. A place to return to. And it is no accident that the same word that honors these ancestors also describes the journey this brand is built to support. The journey back to yourself.
We believe healing is the revolution.
We believe that when Black people come home to themselves, fully and without apology, everything good becomes possible. Inspired by that journey to wholeness and the livelihoods of the village that raised her. The founder creates this ecosystem.
It’s more than a brand.
It’s pieces of history,
life lived
told through cinematic art, skincare, artisan products and bespoke experiences
inspired by Black American livelihood.
